RAWALPINDI: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called Sheikh Rashid, chief of the Awami National Party, to inquire his health.
According to sources, Chief Minister Shahbaz condemned the attempt to assassinate Sheikh Rashid and assured him to arrest the culprits.
He thanked to the Almighty that Sheikh Rashid remained safe from the attack.
Earlier, the chief minister constituted a joint committee to probe the incident, in which four people were killed and Sheikh Rashid sustained injuries.
ISLAMABAD: The Secretary General of PML-N Chaudhary Ahsan Iqbal has condemned the attack on Sheikh Rashid and said that it was an attempt to embarrass PML-N.
Talking to media after the attack on Sheikh Rashid said that few elements wanted to destabilize the country and democracy in Pakistan. He said that basic purpose of this attack was to defame Pakistan Muslim League PML-N.
